Head Coach Gary Andersen announced on Beavers Sports Talk Wednesday evening that Sean Harlow will start at left tackle against Colorado this Saturday.

Sean Harlow has been running with the scout team for the first few weeks of the season getting himself back into game shape. Sean Harlow’s health was a big question mark headed into the season. Many thought he would end up redshirting and return 100% healthy next season. But, it appears that Sean Harlow will instead suit up and man the left tackle spot for Oregon State. It’s interesting that Harlow will play his first game of the season against Colorado, because he suffered his broken leg against the Buffs last time these teams played.

The offensive line has been much maligned in the early part of the season. They haven’t provided adequate protection for quarterback Darell Garretson and he has been forced to escape pressure more often then not. That could change this weekend though; reporter Kevin Hampton reported that the offensive line looked much different at Wednesday’s practice.

Sean Harlow should provide a huge boost to Oregon State’s offensive line. Colorado’s defensive line has been impressive in the early part of the season though. Harlow and his fellow lineman will need to be ready for a physical contest this weekend.
