Washington State (9-19, 1-15) at Oregon State (16-10, 7-8) / Gill Coliseum, Corvallis, OR / 3:30 PM PST / Pac-12 Channel / KEJO 1240 AM / KEX 1190 AM
It's senior day at Oregon State, as the Beavers say good bye to 5 seniors, who will be playing their last regular season game at Gill Coliseum this afternoon, against Washington State.
Gary Payton II, Langston Morris-Walker, Olaf Schaftenaar, Jarmal Reid, and Daniel Gomis, who has been out, but will be in uniform, and may make an appearance today, will get their framed jerseys.
After Wednesday night's 82-81 win over Washington, thanks to Stephen Thompson's buzzer beater 3, they might need to use those jerseys again though, as post season hopes not only remained alive, they got a boost.
The best bet for a successful senior day is when you have the last place team in the conference in, and that's what the Cougs are. Washington State suffered a 76-62 setback Wednesday at Oregon, their 14th loss in a row. Only 3 of those losses haven't been by double digits.
The Beavers are 11 1/2 point favorites today.
An Oregon State win will ensure back to back 17 win seasons for the Beavers, and that would be the first time that's happened since 1989 & 1990.
