The men's basketball schedule was announced on the Oregon State Hoops twitter page today, thus beginning the anticipation for another season under second-year head coach Wayne Tinkle.
The non-conference portion of the schedule features some interesting match-ups, including a bout with perennial powerhouse Kansas. Mid-Major schools Valparaiso and Iona will provide Oregon State with a tough challenge as well. It will be interesting to see how the young Beavers squad will fare against these proven teams before entering Pac-12 play.
The Beavers will also be competing in the Far West Classic Invite, which is going to be held at the Moda Center in Portland.
However, they won't be going to either of the Washington schools, for the first time since 1911, as the Washington trip and the visits by the Arizona schools are the series skipped in the conference schedule rotation this year.
