Oregon St. (26-13, 9-8) takes on 10th ranked USC (30-11, 11-6) today in the rubber game of their Pac-12 series.
After the Trojans pounded out an 11-3 win Friday night, the Beavers bounced back to take a 3-2 walk-off win on Billy King's RBI single yesterday.
The split so far left USC and Oregon St. right where they were before, in 3rd and 5th place in the Pac-12 race, with the Trojans 2 games ahead of the Beavers.
Today's weather should be better, hopefully avoiding a repeat of yesterday's hail storm delay. Again today, there won't be any tv, just the OSU supplied stream.
Oregon St. will go with junior RHP Travis Eckert (4-0, 3.81 ERA), their usual Sunday starter, an USC will counter with freshman RHP Mitch Hart (6-1, 3.28 ERA), also their series back-ender.
Both pulled out series wins for their teams last week, with Eckert working well into the 8th in Oregon St.'s 5-3 win over Arizona, and Hart going 6 innings in USC's 7-3 win over Oregon.
After going 3 for 3 yesterday, Dane Lund gets another start at catcher and in the 2nd slot in the batting order today. Trevor Morrison has also been moved up to the leadoff spot.
