Oregon St. has landed their first commitment to their 2015 Football class.
JC Transfer Treshon Broughton, a 6' , 180 lb. CB that defensive backs coach Rod Perry was pursuing announced his intentions to be enrolled in Corvallis in the spring of 2015, in time for spring practice.
Broughton was recruited by Oregon St. out of Tustin High in Tustin, CA, where he played as a junior, and then Vista Murrieta High in Tustin as a senior. Broughton was also recruited by Fresno St., and eventually committed to the Bulldogs. Broughton, however, was an academic non-qualifier, and attended Fullerton College this academic year, and played for Fullerton last fall.
Broughton will attend and play for LA Harbor College this fall, and then transfer to Oregon St.
Here's a highlight video from his High School days:
Broughton chose Oregon St. over Fresno St., who still had an offer out, and Idaho St.
He will have 3 years to use to play 2 seasons when he arrives at Oregon St.
