California Homecoming Contest Another OSU Night Game

Oregon St. should consider using their glow in the dark helmets for Homecoming, since the night game won't be over by 11 PM.

The TV schedule for Saturday, Nov. 1 has been set, and surprise, surprise, Oregon St.'s Homecoming game against California will be a 7:30 PM+ start, and will be on the Pac-12 Channels.

It will be the 5th night game (our of 8 set so far) this season for the Beavers, and 11th of their last 18 regular season games.

Washington gets a morning start in Boulder, against Colorado at 11 AM MDT (10 AM PDT), also on the Pac-12 Channel, while Washington St. gets an afternoon Pac-12 Channel time slot, hosting USC at 1:30 PM PDT.

The only other game that will be at least partially contested in the daylight will be down the road at Autzen, and will overlap  the start of Oregon St.'s game, as the Ducks host Stanford, starting at 4:30 PM, with FOX carrying the contest.

Fully half the conference will play late night games, with Arizona visiting UCLA, also for a 7:30 PM+ start, on ESPN, and Utah visiting Arizona St., with an 8 PM AST & PDT start, and a 9 PM MDT (!) time start for the Ute fans watching at home.

Fortunately, we get an extra hour overnight, as Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday morning, which may happen before a lot of people get home, or game coverage gets completed! It must be why most of the Pac-12 will get to stay up all night!
