Earlier in the week Oregon St. received a commitment from a second defensive tackle, giving them a pair of JCs at one of the defense's positions of need, and now the Beavers are shoring up at linebacker, a position that was thin this season, after Tony Wilson had to retire early, and Feti (back to) Unga graduating after this year. There was also only 1 recruit at the position prior to then latest additions.
Michael Greer, who is 6'2" and 193 pounds, from Palm Springs, CA, and Manase Hungalu, who is 6'2" and 225 pounds, from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, have both committed to the Beavers.
Greer, who also has played safety, is a 2 star prospect on both the Rivals.com and Scout.com lists. He had an offer from FCS Illinois St., and also interest from Colorado.
Hungalu, the Big Island D1 Player of the Year, has also played defensive end, primarily as an edge rusher. Jungalu hasn't been rated by either Rivals or Scout, as is often the case with players from the islands.
Oregon St. now has 16 players committed for the 2013 class.
