On day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft another Beaver finally came off the board. In the fifth round, with the 142nd overall pick, the Indianapolis Colts drafted Oregon State Wide Receiver Anthony Gould.

Gould was an All Pac-12 Honorable Mention in his final year as a Beaver. That season he caught 44 passes for 718 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gould was also a punt returner for the Beavers, returning 2 punts for touchdowns and averaging 16.4 yards per return over his career.

Though the defensive side of the ball was the more pressing concern for Indianapolis, the Colts also needed wide receiver help, and Gould is the second receiver they’ve picked in this year’s draft. In the second round the Colts picked up Texas’s Adonai Mitchell. Gould should also be a potential special teams option for Indianapolis given his return skills.

There’s one more Beaver who should come off the board today, Safety Kitan Oladapo. After that, expect quite a few Beavers to get picked up as Undrafted Free Agents.
