A third Oregon State basketball player has departed the program this off-season, as sophomore forward Dearon Tucker recently announced on Twitter that he would be entering the transfer portal. Tucker joins guards Tariq Silver and Julien Franklin as the other two Beavers to leave the program since their miraculous run to the Elite Eight in March.

The news of Tucker’s departure comes just days after the commitment of Maryland transfer big man Chol Marial to Oregon State, which may be the first sign of a change in the ranks of the roster’s frontcourt. Despite appearing in 29 games and even earning 6 starts, Tucker’s role was largely unheralded, as he averaged 2.7 points, 1.7 rebounds in 9.6 minutes of action per contest.
