Carlos Curry, a 6’ 11”, 235-pound center currently enrolled at Northwest Mississippi Community College announced via Twitter on Wednesday that he picked up an offer from Oregon State.
Curry began his college career at Ole Miss, red-shirting during the 2018-2019 campaign and appearing in 17 games off the bench for the Rebels in 2019-2020. He announced his decision to transfer out of Oxford in March and since his arrival at Northwest Mississippi Community College, has assembled a laundry list of offers from the likes of Akron, Cal State Bakersfield, College of Charleston, East Tennessee Stae, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Houston, Kent Stae, Old Dominion, Southern Utah, St. John’s and West Virginia.
Ranked as a three-star prospect coming out of Dougherty Comprehensive High School in Albany, Georgia back in 2018, Curry originally committed to Ole Miss over offers from programs such as Florida State and Oklahoma. He is best known for possessing an obstructive 7’ 3” wingspan and a natural sense on the defensive end of the floor, but needs to continue to develop his offensive skill-set to find a regular scoring touch at the next level.
