Former Beaver star Brandin Cooks will have a new home next season; the one time Biletnikoff Award Winner has been traded to the Houston Texans.

Cooks, who spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, was traded for the 57th pick in the draft, a second rounder. The Rams also sent the Texans a fourth round pick in 2022 to balance out the trade.
This is Cooks’ third time being a valuable trade piece. After starting his career with the Saints, New Orleans traded him to New England for a first round draft pick. After a single season with the Pats, New England flipped him to the Rams for another first round pick.
He made back to back Super Bowl appearances during his one season with the Patriots and his first season with the Rams, but won neither. After the Rams took a step back last season, it was clear they needed to rebuild, and would seem Cooks was marked as a flipable asset.
He’ll be catching passes Deshaun Watson next season, joining a receiving corps that includes Randall Cobb and Kenny Stills. He could definitely give Houston’s offense a shot in the arm as they look to improve on last season’s performance, when they were knocked out in the Divisional Round of the playoffs by the eventual champions the Chiefs.
