Oregon State basketball has added a some immediate help for the 2020-2021 season with the commitment of JUCO guard Tariq Silver.

Silver, a 6’ 5”, 200 pound guard out of Clarksville, Tennessee, began his college career at Eastern Michigan, where he red-shirted during the 2017-2018 campaign and then averaged 3.3 points throughout the 2018-2019 season. Last year at Tallahassee, Silver saw action in 33 games, posting averages 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest, while shooting 49.3% from the field, 45.5% from behind the arc and 82.7% from the free-throw line. He helped the Eagles to a 27-6 overall record and a birth in the NJCAA National Tournament.

The Beavs coaching staff hopes Silver can step in right away and contribute next season. The Beavs currently have several other offers to JUCO and grad transfer talent and will hopefully be adding another name or two to the roster in the coming week.
