The Beavers have lost a big piece of next year’s squad. Today, Destiny Slocum announced that she would be entering the transfer portal ahead of next season.

Slocum was the team’s leading scorer in the abbreviated 2019-2020 season, with 14.9 points per game. She also led the team in assists, with 150. Slocum originally played for the University of Maryland, but transferred to Oregon State after her freshman season.
With Slocum transferring, and Mikayla Pivec and Kat Tudor graduating, the Beavers guard position is getting very thin. Aleah Goodman should handle one of the starting spots, and incoming freshman Sasha Goforth can hopefully compete right away, but it will be one of the biggest questions for the team going forward.
Stay tuned for future updates as this story develops.
