Oregon State made a late attempt to add their 2020 recruiting haul on Monday night, when they offered junior college guard Tariq Silver from Tallahassee Community College in Florida.

Silver, a 6’ 5”, 200 pound guard out of Clarksville, Tennessee, began his college career at Eastern Michigan, where he red-shirted during the 2017-2018 campaign and then averaged 3.3 points throughout the 2018-2019 season. Last year at Tallahassee, Silver saw action in 33 games, posting averages 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest, while shooting 49.3% from the field, 45.5% from behind the arc and 82.7% from the free-throw line. He helped the Eagles to a 27-6 overall record and a birth in the NJCAA National Tournament.
A good-bodied athlete who can score at all three levels, Silver could be an instant impact type of talent who steps right in and finds minutes for the Beavers. Currently, Oregon State has only two commits for the 2020 class between a pair of forwards in Rodrigue Andela and Isaiah Johnson. Recently, Tinkle and his staff have shown interest in adding some more talent to next year’s roster, targeting transfers Matthew Moyer from Vanderbilt and Cameron Parker from Sacred Heart.
