Happy Friday! The Beavers are 2-2 to start the season after their time in Surprise, Arizona. The competition takes a giant leap forward this weekend as the Beavs face one of the top teams in the nation in the MSU Bulldogs. Mississippi State was in the College World Series last season and should be even more talented in 2020.

It’ll be a good series to see what kind of team the Beavers are going to be this season. I expect them to be competitive, but it’ll be tough to win this road series against such an elite team. I would be happy if they come away with one win. Today they’ll face a very expereienced pitcher in transfer senior Carlisle Koestler. Read more about the MSU pitcher here.
