The Beavers will have another quarterback to add to an already packed unit, with pro style QB Sam Vidlak signing his letter of intent today. Vidlak is 6’2” and 184 lbs, and comes to Oregon State from Hidden Valley High School in Grants Pass, Oregon. 247sports rates him at three stars, and as the 28th best pro style quarterback in the country. He also received offers from Montana, Northern Arizona and Yale.

It’ll likely be some time before Vidlak sees a lot of action, as the Beavers have a lot of young signal callers already on the roster. In addition to Tristan Gebbia and Chance Nolan, who saw action this season, the Beavers also have freshman Ben Gulbranson coming up. Vidlak has a lot of talent, so given him some time to develop seems wise, and when he does hit the field he’ll give the Beavers a dangerous offensive weapon. Check out these highlights.
