There was no Thanksgiving hangover for Oregon State on Friday, as the Beavers took care of business against NAIA school Northwest University with a one-sided beatdown, 114-42.

The victory was the largest margin of victory in a game in Oregon State men’s basketball history.

Helped by a dominating 27-0 first-half run, Oregon State held a 57-15 lead at the halftime break and expanded their advantage early in the second half, pushing their margin to 75-19 by the 15:00 minute mark. The Beavers eventually broke the 100-point plateau from the free-throw line with 3:44 remaining in the contest and expanded the game to a seventy-point difference with just under two minutes to play.

Overall, Oregon State simply outmatched Northwest at each position across the board. It’s hard to say who really had a bad outing in the match-up, considering the game was an comfortable display for a Beavers program that hasn’t had too many cakewalk games over the past few campaigns. But the tune-up should be useful, as the schedule ramps up next week with battles against Washington State and Wyoming looming.

Up Next: The next scheduled contest for Oregon State is on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:00 PM PT on the road against Washington State. The game is slated to be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
