Cal catcher Korey Lee started the scoring in the first inning with a two-run double. Fortunately for the Beavers, that would be the Bears’ only runs of the game. In the bottom of the fourth, OSU got on the board with an Alex McGarry solo home run. OSU then added two runs in the fifth with RBI singles from Beau Phillip and Adley Rutschman.

A highlight of this game was the performance of Bryce Fehmel and the defense. After overcoming the two-run first inning, Fehmel pitched seven innings allowing six hits, two runs, and two walks with three strikeouts. Fehmel was awarded the win to move to 4-0. The win also put him at 30 career wins, making him just the fourth Oregon State pitcher to hit that mark.
