In their first home game of the year, Oregon State hosts Southern Utah on September 8th, 2018. The Beavs will play at Reser Stadium five other times this season in Jonathan Smith’s first year as the head coach. As Beaver fans, we know that each trip inside Reser Stadium is special. But with each opponent and set of circumstances, we reach different levels of excitement. We also know that each person has different reasons for looking forward to certain games.
So we thought we’d put it to you, Beaver nation. Which of the home games on the schedule for this year gets you most excited? Here are your options...
Southern Utah Thunderbirds - September 8th, 5 PM PT
The home opener against an FCS team and arguably the most winnable game on the schedule. Two big reasons to look forward to this.
Arizona Wildcats - September 22nd, Time TBD
A chance to see Heisman hopeful Khalil Tate as well as the first chance to a Wildcat team led by Kevin Sumlin. It’s also the Pac-12 opener for the Beavs.
Washington State Cougars- October 6th, Time TBD
The first time the Beavs and Cougars meet since last year when Jake Luton’s major injury occurred. Plus, your (almost) yearly chance to see the always-weird Mike Leach in the wild.
California Golden Bears - October 20th, Time TBD
The Golden Bears come to Corvallis on what’s sure to be a crisp October day as the Beavs try to beat the Bears for the first time since 2016.
USC Trojans - November 3rd, Time TBD
The Beavs have a tall task ahead of them to beat the Trojans, who they haven’t defeated since all the way back in 2010. What a fun game that was, right?
Oregon Ducks - November 23rd, 1 PM PT
The Civil War. In Corvallis. The last scheduled game of the year. Need I say more?
