The best baseball girl shares a name with Oregon State’s head coach.

All across the country, one of the things you’ll find at many baseball and football venues is a grounds crew with an adorable pup to keep them company. Sometimes, they may even give the good doggo a social media presence of their own

TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha has embraced this trend by introducing their rescue dog Casey to the Twitter world in the last few days. We were first introduced to Casey during the rain delay on June 25th, as she was lamenting the loss of outside play time.

Eventually she came to the same conclusion as the NCAA and proposed postponing game one of the finals to the next day.

When the weather did clear up though, she kept pretty busy getting the field ready for the Beavs and the Razorbacks.

Members of the media even took notice of Casey’s hard work.

Now, she’s all ready for the epic finale of the series after another tough day at the office.

Oregon State and Arkansas face off for the NCAA Baseball championship at 3:30 PT Thursday night on ESPN2.

We at BTD would like to thank Casey for all of her hard work in making this year’s event possible. Also, we’re going to blindly assume her name is a good omen for Oregon State.

Update: It was a very good omen for Oregon State :)
