  • Last night was a great, albeit stressful, night to be an Oregon State Beavers fan. The baseball team tied up the College World Series Finals with a clutch two-run homer from Trevor Larnach to secure the victory. Go check out our recap linked at the bottom of this post.

Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com wrote a column on the Beavs coming through on the big stage.

  • What has to really hurt for Arkansas fans is the fact that they were one strike/out away from their first national championship. But they were unable to real in a pop fly in foul territory just before Cadyn Grenier tied the game. Our friends at Arkansas Fight: SBN’s Razorbacks site, had a funny (to me) look at it.

Also, have you seen this picture from that critical play?

  • Pat Casey on last night’s win:

“We never quit. We really had some opportunities. We would tell you that crushing runs throughout the game that could have got us down, and I think we got frustrated, but we never gave in.”

  • Finally, Adley Rutschman has been absolutely on fire throughout the course of the tournament and that has continued into the finals. FOX 12 Oregon did a video piece on Adley’s roots and his family’s place in Oregon high school and college sports history.
