Cory Stover has signed his letter of intent to play for Oregon State. The 6-6, 215-pound Strong-Side Defensive End committed to Oregon State earlier this year, and made it official today.
.@CoryStover82 is headed to Corvallis after a four-year career at Marshfield where he was the 4A Player of the Year in '17. The last 2 years, the defensive end has helped his team to a 20-3 record, finishing with 127 tackles w/ 27 TFLs. Welcome to #BeaverNation! #BTD19 #GoBeavs pic.twitter.com/0CzRAOZzVR

Stover, a three star recruit who went to Marshfield Senior High in Coos Bay, Oregon, was rated as the sixth best prospect in the state, and the 87th best Strong-Side DE in the country, by 247Sports. He was also offered by California, but locked up his recruitment early when he committed to the Beavers back in May.
Cory Stover has the frame and athleticism to contribute immediately. Ideally he would spend his first season playing in a couple of games but retaining his redshirt season as he acclimates to the college game, but this may not be an option for the Beavers as they require immediate help on the defensive line. Either way look for Stover to have a stellar career for OSU.
