Robin Vanderlaan has officially signed with the Oregon State Beavers. The 6-foot-5, 270 pound lineman from Orinda, California is headed to Corvallis.

Vanderlaan is a unique junior college transfer, in that he just turned 18 and is basically an advanced high school recruit. Offensive line coach Jim Michalczik helped recruit Robin and sees great potential in his abilities.
Vanderlaan could compete immediately for playing time. The Beavers lost a handful of seniors on the offensive line (including right tackle, Trent Moore) and Vanderlaan could help fill the void or at least provide depth. It’s difficult for any newcomer to snatch a starting spot when transitioning from high school or junior college to the Pac-12, but look for Robin Vanderlaan to make an impact at Oregon State.
