The 6’7 Luton, who may inevitably draw comparisons to former Pac-12 standout Brock Osweiler, took advantage of a former wide receiver playing cornerback for the Colorado State Rams, and delivered a point-perfect pass to Hernandez.
It was the first score of the 2017 FBS football season and culminated an 8-play, 80-yard drive that took less than two minutes off of the clock in Fort Collins.
The new Beavers quarterback went 4-of-7 passing for 61 yards and the touchdown on the drive.
