Sunday Poll Recap: Beaver Nation Believes Oregon State Will Go 8-4 This Season

An 8-4 season would be a colossal turnaround from last year’s 4-8 campaign.

This weekend, we asked all of you out there in Beaver Nation to vote on who you think will win each game of Oregon State’s football season in 2017.

And wow, did you guys ever vote!

Hundreds and hundreds of votes later, we can now conclude that the consensus among Beaver Nation is that Oregon State will go 8-4 this upcoming football season, a complete 180° from last year’s 4-8 mark. You can view the results of the poll below.

Beaver Nation clearly has the highest expectation of a victory heading into the second game of the season against Portland State (99%), as the Vikings received the smallest amount of votes (2) from any team in the polls. Confidence is also fairly high for match-ups against a rebuilding California team (89%), likely Mountain West contenders in Colorado State (83%), Big Ten adversary Minnesota (82%), and conference enigmas, Arizona State (81%) and Arizona (80%).

As expected, clashes with USC (11%) away from Corvallis and Washington (12%) look to be the Beavers toughest tests on the season and match-ups against Washington State (46%) and Stanford (48%) were probably closer due to nothing more than home team bias. The Beavers were also projected as victors in the Civil War game against rival Oregon (69%), after running back Ryan Nall ran all over the Ducks to the tune of four touchdowns a season ago.

The Beavers officially kick-off their football season on Saturday, August 26th at 11:30 AM PT against Colorado State in Fort Collins, in a game that will be televised nationally on the CBS-Sports Network.
