- Despite all the hype heading into Monday’s show-down with LSU, the toughest test of the Beavers seasons so far, the game turned into a good-old-fashioned-beat-down pretty quickly, as Oregon State’s ruthless grind it out style simply wore down the Tigers over the course of the contest. - If there’s one thing we’ve learned about this Oregon State team through the first 56 wins of their season, it’s that Beavers first basemen K.J. Harrison really likes to hit the ball very hard. On Monday, it’s a trend that Harrison chose to continue when he split open a 4-0 Beavers lead in the top of the 6th inning, with a 2-out grand slam that marks the first-ever accomplishment of the feat in the history of TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.
- After Monday’s runaway win over LSU, the Beavers now sit at 56-4 on the season with a school record 23-game winning streak in tow and are essentially in the “driver’s seat” to make the College World Series Finals. Seems like no better time then for the Oregonian to dip into a unique tale about Oregon State’s bus driver while in Omaha and how he’s joining the team for a run at a title.
- Oh yeah, we’ve got some video highlights. 13 runs in 9 innings will surely give you something to watch, especially when the Pac-12 Network is on the scene. But if it’s more of some post-game press conferences that you’re into, we get that too. Check out what head coach Pat Casey and company had to say following the Beavers victory.
