Tim Cook has signed a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the news first broke from beaverblitz.com Angie Machado:

Confirmed by Telly Lockette:

The relatively unknown RB, Cook, is a great athlete and only played one full season with the Beavs due to an injury in 2015. Cook transferred to OSU in 2015 following two separate stints in Junior College, looking for a fresh start. He battled for playing time in 2016, but due to the emergence of Ryan Nall, Cook didn’t get very much playing time with the Beavs.

Cook’s scored 2 TD’s for the Beavs in 2016 (1 Rushing, 1 Receiving), with his best game coming against the University of Washington where he rushed 18 times for 108 yards and a TD, filling in nicely for an injured Ryan Nall.

Cook garnered some attention at OSU’s pro day with a solid performance. Cook had the highest vertical jump at 37’’, the highest broad jump at 120’’, and had the third highest 40 time and 20 yard shuttle with a 4.63 and 4.34 respectively.

Cook most likely will be seen as a Fullback type in the NFL and will compete on Special Teams, where he is likely to make his biggest impact. He was a core special teamer for the Beavers in 2016.

We’re all rooting for Tim Cook, for all he has dealt with in his life and the way he has persevered. This is a story we can get behind in, Beaver Nation is rooting for you Tim!

Tim Cook joins Ricky Ortiz, Dustin Stanton, Victor Bolden Jr. and Devin Chappell to all sign unrestricted free agent deals. Earlier in the day Sean Harlow was picked in 4th round by the Atlanta Falcons and Treston Decoud was picked up in the 5th round by the Houston Texans.
