Oregon State running back, Marcus Greaves, is retiring from football for medical reasons. He announced his decision via Twitter.

Marcus Greaves was a valuable veteran presence in Oregon State’s backfield. He was one of the most hardworking and consistent players. Check out this article from the Oregonian chronicling his journey from a walk-on at Western Oregon to finally making the team with the Beavers.

Former Oregon State guard Derrick Bruce (goes by P.J. Bruce) is headed to Jacksonville State according to his former head coach, Steve Demeo from Northwest Florida State.

Bruce was part of the talented 2015 Oregon State recruiting class that featured Stephen Thompson, Tres Tinkle and Drew Eubanks. He dropped out of school during his freshman season because of the rigors of balancing student-athlete life. He transferred to Northwest Florida State junior college soon after and after one season is headed back to the Division-I level. Doing so allowed him to get his academics in order while also not forcing him to sit out for a year.

Another former Oregon State guard, Malcolm Duvivier, is visiting campuses as a graduate transfer and will likely make a decision soon.

The NFL draft is underway! The Beavers aren’t projected to have anyone drafted until Saturday (rounds 4 through 7). Regardless of the lack of Oregon State players in the first round, there was still some drama on the opening night. Check out the winners and losers from a wild first round here.

The consensus No. 1 baseball team in the nation hosts the USC Trojans in a weekend series. Get the full breakdown here and don’t miss the Beavers in action tonight at 5:35 PM. Also, Drew Rasmussen who was recently cleared to pitch will hopefully make his debut this weekend.
