While we have to wait the better part of a decade for the games themselves, there’s no reason we can’t start building excitement now.
As outlined in the press release sent out to the media on Tuesday afternoon, OSU and Fresno State have met 13 times in the past with the last meeting ending in a 14-16 loss for the Beavs in Fresno. The Bulldogs lead in the all time series 8-5.
Oregon State and Montana State will play for the first time on September 17th, 2022. Interestingly, this is the second time that the two sides have been SCHEDULED to face each other. MSU was scheduled to play in Corvallis Sept. 15, 2001. The game was cancelled (like many other sporting events, at the time) in the aftermath of 9/11.
Also included in the release was this statement:
“Oregon State officials also anticipate announcing further news involving the future football schedule (click for the entire schedule) in the near future.”
So it sounds like we’ll have plenty more future dates to mark on our calendar very soon.
