Oregon State continues to look like the team we expected as they push their record to 5-0 with a dominant 10-1 win over Nebraska in Surprise, Arizona.
The Beaver bats, led by pre-season All-Americans sophomore shortstop Nick Madrigal (3-4 with 3 runs scored) and junior first baseman K.J. Harrison (3-4 3 RBIs), got to Nebraska starter Jake Waldron early and often with six runs in the first two innings en route to a ten run twelve hit campaign.
Luke Heimlich gave himself a chance to win Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week again with a seven inning one run performance and his first win of the season. Jordan Britton pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Heimlich to seal the win. The Beaver pitching staff has been extremely impressive early in the season having only surrendered four earned runs in the first five games.
The Beavers will look to continue their early season dominance tomorrow as they face Ohio State at noon from Surprise.
