The Oregon State Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting a winter clothing drive during December 29th’s Women’s Basketball game against Washington. If you get any nice new winter coats, gloves, hats or boots, and your old stuff is still in good shape, maybe come down to Gill Coliseum at 2:00 on Friday and enjoy a good basketball game and a great cause.
The drive will be part of a series between the Oregon State and Washington student bodies, to see who can donate the most clothing. The Oregon State Student Athlete Advisory Council and the Washington Student Athlete Advisory Council have teamed up to organize the event. In addition to the women’s game on the 29th, fans can also bring their winter clothing to the men’s game on February 10th. Huskies fans will have their own chances to donate when they host the Beaver women on February 11th and the Beaver men on March 1st.
We’re getting into those days when the Oregon weather gets especially cold and especially wet, and there are a lot of members of our community who are in great need. If you’d like to take part in the true spirit of the season, then Building the Dam hopes we’ll see you out there.
