Lorenzo Fauatea has a strong belief in Gary Andersen and his ability to build an elite program in Corvallis. He also couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play alongside Noah Togiai who he lists as one of his closest friends.
Fauatea also feels that Corvallis will be a great fit for him and his talents. He was quoted by Andrew Nemec, of OregonLive saying “It’s just that Poly pipeline that they have. I fit in with that and how they run their defense and where their program is heading.”
Lorenzo’s commitment brings Oregon State up to 15 commits for the 2017 class. It’s been an impressive recruiting class so far for Gary Andersen and his staff. And there are still many highly touted recruits who are uncommitted but are considering Oregon State.
Lorenzo Fauatea hasn’t visited Corvallis yet but is planning his official visit on November 26th during the ‘Civil War’ game.
Fauatea is a devote member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (or Mormons) and is planning on serving a 2-year church mission after he graduates high school.
