The Blazers completely overhauled their broadcasting team this offseason, letting go of longtime duo Mike Rice and Mike Barrett, and have been working to replace them. Earlier this summer they hired former voice of the Seattle Supersonics and ESPN Radio play-by-play man Kevin Calabro but needed someone to pair with him. They have now found the final piece to round out the broadcasting team.

Former Beaver basketball player Lamar Hurd will be joining Calabro to call Trail Blazers games. Hurd worked with Fox Sports Northwest and Root Sports following his playing career and has spent the last 3 years as a college basketball analyst for the PAC-12 Networks. Calabro and Hurd have previously worked together during his time on the PAC-12 Networks where they called multiple games together.

As a player at Oregon State Lamar Hurd had career averages of 4.9 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds.
