Last month we reported that the Oregon State men's basketball team would play in the MGM Grand Main Event, featuring two games at home against mid or low major opponents, then a bracketed event in Las Vegas with Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and Auburn.

We can now confirm the first of those home games, as Building the Dam has learned Oral Roberts will come to Gill Coliseum on November 22. The second opponent is still to be determined. While the Golden Eagles finished last season with a mediocre record of 17-16, this is still a very solid program that made either the NIT or CIT in each of the three years before that. Suffice it to say, they should give Wayne Tinkle's team all it can handle.

After that game, both teams will travel to Vegas for "Heavyweight" and "Middleweight" bracket play. In addition to the Golden Eagles, Louisiana, Milwaukee, and that team still to be determined will face off in the middleweight bracket. Both brackets will be revealed on August 5th.

The middleweights will play their opening games on November 24 at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM PT, while the heavyweights follow at 5:30 PM (on ESPN3) and 8:00 PM (on ESPNU). The consolations and championships will be played two days later at 11:00, 1:30, 6:00 (ESPN3), and 8:30 (ESPN2). You can order tickets here.
