The Pac-12 is down to 1 team left in the post season, and its Arizona that carries the Pac-12's flag and interests, as well as their own, into today's first half of the "Elite Eight" round in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
And it's a huge day for the Miller clan, as not only is 'Cats coach Sean Miller in action tonight, so to is his brother Archie, who is the head coach of the Dayton Flyers.
Dayton (26-10, and the 11 seed in the South) takes on Florida (35-2, and the 1 seed in the Tournament, as well as the South) at 5:09 PM CDT (3:09 PM PDT) in Memphis, TN, after the Flyers bounced the Stanford Cardinal out 82-72 Thursday night, and the Gators chomped up the UCLA Bruins 79-68, eliminating 2/3 of the Pac-12's teams that made it to the "Sweet 16".
If the seeds were mixed in the South, chalk totally prevailed in the West, resulting in a 1-2 matchup to decide who goes on to Arlington for the Final 4.
Wisconsin (29-7, and the 2 seed in the West) takes on Arizona (33-1, and the 1 seed) at or about 5:49 PM PDT in Anaheim, CA, after the Badgers buried the Baylor Bears 69-52, and the 'Cats came back behind 13 straight points by Nick Johnson, who had been shut out until the last minutes of the game, to overhaul the San Diego St. Aztecs 70-64.
I wonder where Mrs. Miller will be watching from.
One possibility is from in front of a TV tuned to TBS, who will have the coverage of both of the games.
