Corban (3-1) at Oregon St. (1-0) / Gill Coliseum / 7 PM PST / Pac-12 Channel / KEJO 1240 AM / KEX 1190 AM
Oregon St. hosts Corban tonight at Gill Coliseum, in an attempt to get off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2000.
Corban, an NAIA school from just outside nearby Salem, is off to a 3-1 start, but the Warriors haven't faced any teams in their preseason from any higher level.
The game replaces a game originally scheduled against Alcorn St., who subsequently backed out of the schedule.
The Beavers beat Rice 67-54 Friday night in their opener, leading the Owls wire to wire.
Oregon St. and Corban have never met in a "counting contest", though they did meet in an exhibition last year, also at Gill, when the Beavers beat the Warriors 69-42.
Among the current Beavers who played that night as well, Victor Robbins was Oregon St.'s second high scorer, with 11 points (behind Roberto Nelson's 15), and Jarmal Reid had 9 rebounds and 7 points.
Corban is coached by Steve Masten, father of former Beaver basketballer Adam Masten.
