The baseball team had previously released its conference slate, which you can read more about here, but the full schedule with all the non-conference games was posted today, see: Oregon State 2015 Baseball Schedule.
And it is an interesting schedule of non-conference games against some good opponent,s such as a rematch against 2014 opponent Michigan State (2014 record of 36-26) and 2 games against New Mexico (37-20) in the Surprise, AZ Tournament that opens the season February 13-16. The Beavers face Northwestern in the season opener, before the rematch with Michigan St.
The following week Oregon St. will face Oklahoma State (48-18 and 2014 Big 12 Champions), Kansas State (25-30), Oklahoma (29-29), and Kansas (35-26 and Regional appearance) in the Pac12/Big12 Tournament.
The Beavs will then come home from these two Arizona tournaments to play the rest of their pre-Pac 12 schedule games at home, including a 3 game series against Cal Poly (47-12 and 2014 Big West Champions) Thursday Feb. 26 through Sat. Feb. 28, a 4 game series including a Saturday double header the following weekend against Fresno State (28-29), and Portland (11-41) on Tuesday, March 10.
Other match ups include a 2 game mid-week series against San Jose State (19-38) during spring break, and then a 3 game Missouri State (26-31) in late March, during the Beavers' bye weekend in their Pac-12 schedule, and then a couple other mid-week match ups against each Portland and Oregon later in the season.
The popular neutral site game against Portland played at Volcanoe's stadium in Keizer is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14.
The Ducks fly into Goss on Tuesday, April 28 & Wednesday, May 13.
Even though it is a few months away the Beavs baseball season will sure hit the ground running once it starts up next February!
Go Beavs!
