Oregon St. cornerback Steven Nelson has been named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, after his 4th quarter interception that he returned for the touchdown that produced the game winning points with 2 1/2 minutes left in Oregon St.'s come from behind 34-30 road win over San Diego St.
Nelson had a pair of second half interceptions last week at Utah, and also one 2 weeks ago against Hawaii.
4 Interceptions in a players' first 4 games has never been done at Oregon St. previously.
Utah quarterback Travis Wilson was named the conference Offensive Player of the Week, after leading the Utes to a 20-13 win in the "Holy War" at BYU, and USC punter was named the Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
Oregon St. quarterback Sean Mannion was also nominated for the Offensive Player of the Week.
