Oregon St.'s consensus All-American Corner back Jordan Poyer dropped lower in the NFL draft than expected, but former Oregon coach Chip Kelly, who is now in charge of the Philadelphia Eagles, didn't forget one of his old nemesis-es. Kelly and the Eagles chose Poyer with the 12th pick of the 7th, and final, round of the draft, and the 218th pick overall.
Remember this interview?
In fact, Kelly held a handful of Pac-12 players in high regard.
Poyer joins Stanford tight end Zach Ertz, taken in the 3rd round, USC quarterback Matt Barkley, the first pick of the 4th round, and Utah defensive end Joe Kruger, all from the Pac-12, in Philadelphia.
Big Green Nation sees the Poyer pick as a steal for the Eagles.
Congratulations, Jordan, and Good Luck!
