The 2013 Civil War will be on a Friday, and so will Oregon St.'s home game against USC, which will be on Nov. 1. The other 10 games will all be on Saturdays.
The 2013 Pac-12 Football schedule is out, and the Beavers' first conference game will also be their first road trip at Utah on Sept. 14.
The season opens with non-conference home games, against Eastern Washington on Aug. 31, and Hawaii on Sept. 7. The only non-conference road game is on Sept. 21, at San Diego St.
The Beavers have 2 byes, on Oct. 5 and Nov. 9, which is an odd time, following the game against USC on a short week, not before it, when it would probably be more useful, given that its right after the Stanford game, which will Homecoming, and will be on Oct. 26.
In addition to USC returning to the schedule, in place of UCLA, in the Pac-12 scheduling rotation, the other change this year is a visit from Colorado instead of Arizona. The Buffs will be Oregon St.'s first conference home game, on Sept. 28.
The neutral site game in Seattle at Century Link field against Washington St. is no more, and so a trip to Pullman will follow the first bye, on Oct. 12, not necessarily at the most useful time, in the midst of games against the weakest 3 teams in the Pac-12, with the trip to Berkeley to take on California coming next on Sept. 19.
After the bye on Veterans' Day weekend (which would be a good time for travel), Oregon St. heads to Tempe to take on Arizona St. on Nov. 16, and conclude their regular season home schedule against Washington on Nov. 23.
All the rivalry games are the last weekend of the regular season, following Thanksgiving, except again for the "Big Game" between Stanford and California, thanks again to Notre Dame's scheduling demands, with their visit to Palo Alto being played Sat. Nov. 30. Fortunately, the California at Stanford game is the previous Saturday, Nov. 23. For the second year in a row, the Bears will conclude their schedule a week earlier than everyone else.
The Pac-12 Championship game will again be at the home field of the division champion with the best overall record, but will be on Saturday, Dec. 7, moved from the Friday night time slot that guaranteed a good national tv audience without competition, but proved to be devastating to attendance for the visiting team, and everyone when in a major metro area, as happened at Stanford this past year.
The title game will also be on either ABC or ESPN this year, moved from FOX, which has carried the first 2 Pac-12 Championship games.
Here's the complete schedule for Oregon St.:
Aug. 31 Eastern Washington (non-conference) - 3 PM

Pac-12 Football Championship Game
Neither Stanford nor Arizona St. will play on opening weekend, as both have Notre Dame games later in the season. USC opens at Hawaii, and as a result get to play a 13th. game, and is the only team besides California to have only 1 bye, on Oct. 5, along with Arizona (the Trojans host the 'Cats on Thursday, Oct. 10, one of 4 Thursday night Pac-12 Conference games).
The conference schedule rotation is always a factor, and will play a role in both expectations and outcomes. The clear loser in this first schedule rotation is Utah. The Utes are trading Washington St. and California for Oregon and Stanford.
