Louisiana Teammates To Remain So At Oregon St.

Oregon St. picked up a pair of defensive backs from Rushton, LA, today, when Cornerback Kentrell Bryce and Safety Cryil Noland decided to come to Corvallis, instead of staying in their hometown to attend Louisiana Tech.

Bryce, 6'1", 178 lbs., and Noland, 6'0, 193 lbs., are both considered 3 star prospects by Rivals.com, while Scout.com sees both as 2 star recruits.

Here's Brice's video:

And here's Noland's:

When graduate assistant safeties coach Mitch Meeuwsen saw the videos, he was impressed enough to show wide receivers coach Ckris Brasfield and defensive back coach Keith Heyward. They liked what they saw enough to offer both places with the Beavers.

Brice and Noland played together at Rushton High, and had planned to attend Louisiana Tech, but changed their mind. And they committed to Oregon St. without first visiting the Corvallis campus.

Both do plan to visit Oregon St. Jan. 13, and not any other schools. Noland was also in Oregon last July, for the first "The Opening" camp at the Nike Campus.

The pair gives Oregon St. 20 commits for the 2012 recruiting class, including 6 defensive backs.
