Oregon State Softball beat Baylor 3-1, advancing to the Super Regionals to play Cal sometime this weekend. Oregon State rallied behind pitcher Brianne McGowan to beat Baylor for the second day in a row, removing them from the double elimanation tournament. OSU got a solid contribution on offense from Cambrina Miranda, who belted a home run in the bottom of the third inning. Oregon State added its last two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Like I said, Oregon State will host 6th ranked Cal in the Super Regionals this weekend. It will be a best two out of three tournament, taking place either Friday-Saturday, or Saturday-Sunday, depending on a descision from ESPN.
OSU Pitcher Brianne McGowan tossed a four hitter to help the Beavers' chances. She was a perfect 2-2 from the plate herself, and she also struck out 5 batters.
Tickets for this weekend's series will be available Monday at 8:30 am.
Go Beavers!
