The duo combined for 12 points for the championship, the highest point total by Oregon State University at the competition since the track program was reinstated in 2004.

Carlyle has already qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the 1,500 and the 5,000, and Oveson has qualified in the 5,000 as well.

Senior Jennifer Macias and sophomore Olivia Poblacion have to wait for Thursday's announcement of at large berths to learn if they will be competing as well.

The NCAA West Preliminary Rounds will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene at the University of Oregon from May 26-28.
