BREAKING NEWS: Oregon State Head Coach Mike Riley Agrees to 3-year Contract Extension
Mike Parker just announced it on the Oregon State basketball radio broadcast, and you can read it at OSUBeavers.com: Mike Riley has agreed to a 3-year contract extension. But more importantly, this means Riley is essentially turning down USC, who likely already came calling after Pete Carroll darted off for the Seahawks.
This extension will keep Riley's Prius parked in a reserved spot out in front of the Valley Football Center through the 2019 season. Here's what Mike had to say:
"Due to the fact there is a lot of speculation on my future, I want to make it known that I’m very excited to be coaching at Oregon State University and I anticipate doing so for a long time," Riley said from the American Football Coaches Association convention in Orlando, Fla.
Great news!

Ten years,
with the rollup of an additional year for each bowl team, should come close to that lifetime contract that was rumored!
After Wednesday’s loss, a very nervous weekend for Beaver believers, and the loss in the women’s Civil War, Sunday night has been just the medicine OSU fans needed!
