Oregon State has been very aggressive on the recruiting trails under the new coaching staff and currently finds themselves locked in recruiting battles with many high profile schools. One such recruit, Cody Shear, announced Friday evening that he will attend the University of Arizona.

Cody Shear had previously listed Oregon State as one of his top 3 schools. Interestingly enough he didn't have any D-I offers around Christmas time but held over 30+ offers at the time of his commitment.
Final 3. I am looking forward to committing by July 5th and fully concentrating on Sheldon Football with my team. pic.twitter.com/Oj0fWgbOol

Cody Shear is the left tackle for his high school team and also plays defensive-end. He has great athleticism for a lineman and looked dominant at times during his junior season. He appears to have a nasty streak and is not afraid to impose himself physically on the football field.
Oregon State missed out on a really good football player, but we wish Cody the best at Arizona. I'm confident that Gary Andersen and his staff will bounce back and land a few more high-profile recruits that are still deciding on where to continue their football careers.
