On Monday, Oregon State continued it’s overhaul of their roster for the 2021-2022 campaign, adding another transfer to the mix in former Marquette guard Dexter Akanno. Akanno averaged 0.7 points and 0.6 rebounds in 12 games of action for the Golden Eagles last season as a redshirt freshman.

Akanno’s decision comes almost three weeks to the day after announcing his intention to leave Marquette and he’ll now join a pool of Division I transfers in Corvallis, which includes the likes of Xzavier Malone-Key (Fairleigh Dickinson), Tre Williams (Minnesota), Chol Marial (Maryland) and Ahmad Rand (Memphis).

The Beavers are coming off 20-13 campaign, in which they stormed to a Pac-12 Tournament Championship and an eventual run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
