The 2021 WNBA Draft just wrapped up, and one Beaver will be making the jump to the pros. The Connecticut Sun picked Aleah Goodman in the 3rd round of the draft, with the 30th overall pick. Goodman was a standout for all four of her years at Oregon State, and led the team in scoring during her senior season.
WHAT’S GOOD ALEAH!

The Sun are coming off a strong 2020 season, where they reached the WNBA Semifinals. Goodman will have to fight for a roster spot on a good team, but Goodman is definitely a fighter. She’ll get her shot when WNBA training camps open up April 25th.
Former Beaver Destiny Slocum was also picked in the draft. Slocum was picked by last season’s runners-up for the championship, the Las Vegas Aces. She was drafted in the 2nd round, with the 14th overall pick. Slocum transferred from Maryland to play for Oregon State, where she played for two seasons, before transferring to Arkansas.
