Oregon State is moving on to the round of 32!

And what a decisive win it was. It was back and forth early, but in the second quarter Oregon State really started to take control. On offense the trio of Aleah Goodman, Taylor Jones and Sasha Goforth accounted for 56 points and the game was never really close in the 2nd half.

Florida State’s star guard, Bianca Jackson, still did her damage accounting for 17 points but she needed 16 shots to get there and the Beavers did a good job at being aggressive without fouling. Florida State shot just 35.5% from the field despite being hot behind the arc (42%).

The Beavers were hyper-efficient on offense shooting 55% from the field. They also dominated on the boards out-rebounding Florida State 43 to 26. Florida State’s guard heavy line-up had the potential to cause Oregon State troubles, but the Beavers were too good in the post and were still hitting shots from deep.

Oregon State is moving on and will now face #1-seed South Carolina on Tuesday (3/23). The game times will be released either late tonight or early tomorrow. South Carolina defeated Mercer (79-53) to advance to the round of 32. It should be a fun one!
