UPDATE: The game against Washington has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 26th. The Huskies game against Oregon this Sunday will also go forward as planned.

Oregon State’s women’s basketball team has had another game postponed due to Covid-19. The Beavers were scheduled to host Washington this Friday, January 22nd, but the Huskies have had to back out due to Covid-19 contact procedures.

This is the seventh game this season that the Beavers have had to postpone, and the second game against Washington. The Beavers first scheduled game against Washington, set for December 21st, was the first to be missed. The Beavers then missed games against UCLA, USC, California, Stanford and Arizona State before finally resuming play on January 17th against Arizona.

Washington now is going through a similar stretch of missed play. The Huskies first had to postpone a January 8th matchup with Arizona due to Covid-19 protocols, and have not played since. They have now missed five games, though their January 24th game against Oregon remains on the schedule.

The Beavers next game will now be Sunday, January 24th, when they host Washington State. The Cougars took the first round of this season’s series back in December, when they won 61-55 in Pullman. There has not yet been any word on when or if the games the Beavers have missed will be rescheduled.
