Orion Maile-Kaufusi belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints and will be serving a 2-year church mission before attending Oregon State. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound athlete played defensive end and tight end for East High. East High is also the high school where high school musical was filmed; so one would have to assume Orion can sing and dance as well. The triple-threat needs to put on more muscle to get ready for Pac-12 play, but he’s a talented athlete with a lot of potential. Linebackers coach Trent Bray was the primary recruiter for Orion Maile-Kaufusi and will be interesting to see if the coaching staff eventually move him into an outside linebacker role. Anyways welcome to Beaver nation and Go Beavers!
